The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing daily operations within our pharmacy, collaborating closely with the Clinical Pharmacy Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient operations within our pharmacy team and stepping in to address urgent personnel or operational matters as needed.
Additionally, this role involves interpreting prescriptions, compounding, and dispensing medications according to orders from physicians and authorized prescribers. The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator utilizes their expertise in medications to provide valuable information to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
The Pharmacy Operations Coordinator will undertake various tasks assigned by the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, operating under moderate supervision while having the autonomy to apply initiative and judgment to meet the pharmacy's operational needs effectively. In the absence of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Operations Coordinator assumes their responsibilities.
