Who you are:
As a Business Analyst in Quality Improvement for Johns Hopkins Health Plans, you will work with a team to improve HEDIS measure performance across three lines of business including one Medicaid and two commercial plans. You are detail-oriented and able to maintain focus while working with large sets of data. You have the ability resolve issues quickly, make decisions and institute change when appropriate. You are passionate about your results and are able to share them with different stakeholders across the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze data to provide insight to decision-makers.
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
- Identify areas of opportunites related to HEDIS measure performance improvements.
- Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
- Create reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
- Collaborate with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs.
- Present and interpret analysis results, summarize conclusions, and recommend a course of action.
- Work directly with internal service providers within IT and the Analytics Center of Excellence regarding complex data reporting and analytics needs.
What you’ll bring:
- 5 years’ experience in a managed care environment
- Experience with healthcare reporting specifically in Quality and data for health plans preferred.
- Business and/or Data analyst experience in healthcare, specifically Managed Care
- Ability to run and/or write reports and give a thorough analysis of the data
- Have clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree required

Salary Range: Minimum 32.92 per hour - Maximum 57.62 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
