Overall Responsibilities: The Forklift Material Handler Person is responsible for all activities involved in material movement, organization, and inventory levels within the warehouse that requires the use of a forklift. This includes pulling sales orders, filling material requests for production, and transferring finished materials to assigned bin locations and production lines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain work instructions from supervisor.
- Work from written and verbal instructions, purchase orders, invoices, delivery slips, and similar records.
- Operate sit down, stand-up, and order selector forklifts. Work with hand trucks, simple hand tools, scales, tape measures and similar items.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials to and from the production lines as necessary.
- Prioritize production needs efficiently.
- Know warehouse product locations and be able to identify materials.
- Do daily forklift inspection paperwork, if applicable.
- Assist other warehouse personnel as needed.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment, incorrect orders, damaged items, shortages, and refer questionable situations to the supervisor.
- Pull, label, and stage requested raw material goods for sales orders.
- Must know and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping and 5S.
- Perform these and other comparable related duties as instructed by management.
- Participate in all HPT functions

Education and Experience: Prefer High School diploma or 1 year related work experience. Ability to operate sit down and stand up forklifts.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to read specifications, charts, tables, and tape measures; various types of precision measuring instruments.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to use basic math and read a ruler.
Reasoning Abilities: Requires the use of judgement to plan and perform work, make decisions accordingly.
