What you will do
The Service Technician’s main function is to service, trouble shoot, and repair HVAC related Ruskin Co. products i.e., control dampers, fire-smoke dampers, louvers, provide productivity to the team and provide skilled journeyman level work in the repair, inspection, and planned maintenance on HVAC related product to maintain reliable and functionally efficient operations of related product.
How you will do it
A Service Technician will service, troubleshoot and repair Ruskin brand product listed product, writing work orders and job reports, turning in packing slips, time sheets and expense reports along with other pertinent job related documentation in a prompt and orderly fashion, report to the supervisor to get advice and/or assignments in order to make the day productive, follow established methods and procedure, find resources for troubleshooting and repairs and understand total systems, work well alone, as well as with others, communicate with customers and fellow employees, and works as a team player.
  • Travels to customer job site to determine product or customer system problem. Provide service and customer support during field visits.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Correct product problem on-site or determine if product replacement is needed.
  • Provide industry experience to customer for proper application of product in customer air handling system.
  • Produces timely and detailed service trip reports to assist manager in investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products.
  • Records, analyzes, and inform concerned personnel of production quality assurance, and sales departments of status and disposition of customer complaints and claims.

What we look for
  • High school diploma of GED
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 75% of the time including internationally.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Valid Passport for international travel
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a minimum 2 years of related mechanical experience
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed

Preferred - What we look for
  • Associate degree, technical, or vocation school degree
  • 2 years of HVAC or related mechanical experience
  • Working knowledge of HVAC related products with a strong foundation in electrical, controls, and mechanical troubleshooting.
