As part of the Janssen Business Technology Commercial Americas organization, this role provides leadership in relationship management, technology strategy, project management, business process/analysis, quality and compliance for Janssen’s Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) business initiatives. The IT manager will serve as the business technology leader across the 6 Janssen Therapeutic Areas (TAs) to identify, shape and deliver solutions that drive business value.
The successful candidate will ensure technology solutions and/or implementations align with Johnson & Johnson Technology and business strategies, perform business analysis & needs analysis, business risk assessment, and consults with business partners to ensure delivery and provide input to leadership on how to best support GCSO through the effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner and maintain strategic relationships across all TAs (Oncology, Immunology, ID&V, CVM&PH, Neuro, and Retina) by representing and promoting technology capabilities and solutions. Present new and innovative ideas while handling expectations and commitments.
- Responsible for understanding each TA’s business goals and disease area strongholds (DAS) while managing the technology portfolio across the TAs. Includes leading the planning, needs analysis, acclimating the processes to changes in technology and collaborating with partners and shaping technology solutions.
- Build alignment with the GCSO IT technology strategy for all technology projects spanning the global TAs, including data & analytics, digital/web, collaboration and productivity
- Closely collaborate and build relationships with Product Line partners and Technology Services partners
- Digital landscape planning for new DAS areas including crafting the Global Digital Strategy and digital roadmaps to enable launch readiness.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking to senior leaders. Deep knowledge of our GCSO IT Portfolio of solutions
- People leader, developing your team to be valued business technology partners to bring technology solutions to meet the needs of our therapeutic areas.
- Budget management including maintaining accurate financial records and business planning activities.
- Effectively manage a global user base in different time zones, with various technical, compliance and regulatory needs.
- Participate and/or drive activities at a Janssen BT Commercial Americas level in support of the division’s employee engagement and Johnson & Johnson Credo objectives.
- Adherence to compliance policies, DARM, BPRA, Security assessments
- Follow and implement all local and worldwide security policies to ensure that J&J information assets are appropriately identified, valued, and protected.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate solutions or services.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Other Requirements:
Required
- 8 years of IT experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- People management experience
- Portfolio management skills with experience related to shaping solutions, requirement definitions, application design and development, and system support in digital web technologies and/or analytics projects, are required
- Ability to understand, shape, and measure the business value of solutions, while managing competing demand and ambiguity.
- Experience working on technology solutions in the healthcare environment, including familiarity with privacy and compliance principles is required.
- Experience identifying and crafting areas of opportunity and optimization in support of IT and business strategies.
- Experience working with productivity and collaboration tools.
- Experience interacting with the business partner community to devise or modify procedures, to solve sophisticated problems or improve existing processes is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal skills are required. This includes managing multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and operate with poise and integrity in an elaborate, high-profile, and constantly evolving environment.

- Travel to Raritan, Horsham and Titusville sites will be required.
Preferred
- Strong Pharmaceutical industry knowledge and/or experience is highly preferred.
- Agile Methodology and working knowledge of SDLC is preferred.
- Analytical; experience working with data visualization tools is preferred.
- Working across a global organization.
