Injection Molding Specialist

Responsibilities:

· Identifies, plans and executes portions of projects requiring some evaluation, ingenuity and responsibility under limited direction.

· Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the following areas:

· Process improvement, IMM knowledge, IMM transfer system, PLC systems, electro/mechanical devices, robotic/servo systems, safety devices, equipment installation, debug and qualification, control circuitry development, electro-mechanical troubleshooting/repair, equipment prototyping, production start-up, IMM process development and mechanical devices, controller.

· Leads qualification of new equipment and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet government standards.

· Leads in the preparation of equipment specifications, HECP, SOP, JSA, calibration and maintenance procedures.

· Interfaces with other department of the organization to clarify requirements and objectives.

· Coordinate innovative change across all manufacturing assets through both equipment upgrades and equipment optimization.

· Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, manufacturing asset management and reliability engineering tools and techniques to optimize injection molding equipment throughput, cycle-time, yield as well as reliability, availability, longevity, operational safety and overall total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

· A minimum of a Vocational Certificate, or Technical degree in injection molding 

· A minimum of 4 years of relavant experience 

· RJG Master Molder or Paulson Pro Molder certification preferred.

· Knowledge and highly proficient in Sumitomo, Fanuc, Arburg and Netstal IMM controls operation is preferred.

· At least four (4) years of injection molding experience in equipment development, project management, construction, installation and qualification is preferred

· Ability to work in a cross functional/matrix team is preferred

· Strong computer skills, including Windows Office and applications or equivalent required.

· Able to travel up to 10% both domestic and/or international.

· This position will be located Jacksonville, FL. This position could have up to 10% travel both domestic and/or international.
