As the Outbound Analyst you will be responsible for identifying and leading service level improvement efforts, as well as exploring cost reduction opportunities within the CLS supply chain model. You will represent distribution operations as the Outbound Logistics SME in various customer facing projects and forums. You will also lead and establish the monthly and quarterly execution activities as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Lead CLS approved projects in direct support of Distribution OGSMs that are cross-functional in nature
- Provide Outbound Logistics expertise in support of customer facing initiatives that require Distribution support
- Analyze DOW (Day of Week) volume trends across the network, investigate deviations and identify solutions or preventative measures for future occurrences
- Collaborate with Customer Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, IT (Ops Center and BUIT), and Sales to coordinate all activity pertaining to promo volume surges, exception order management, EOM/EOQ/EOY volume forecasting & execution across the network inclusive of reporting and issue management
- Handle day-to-day Log Operations reporting activities as performed by Co-Op
- Accountable for regional logistics spend (IB/OB transport, freight forwarding, 3PL, customs brokerage, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, or related discipline is preferred.
- Advanced degree is preferred.
- Requires minimum of two (2) years’ related work experience.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively.
- Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Distribution or Operations experience is helpful.
- Working knowledge of SAP is required, with SAP Order-To-Cash (ECC, APO, BW) highly preferred.
- Warehouse management systems and/or transportation systems knowledge highly preferred.
- Requires proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP & pivot tables).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Project and Visio software is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage or support projects is preferred.
- Process Excellence training and/or certification or APICS certification is helpful.
- Availability to travel up to 10% domestically.
- Requires ability to meet the physical demands of our fast-paced distribution environment: walk, stand, sit, use hands to finger, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear.
