Innovation - Resolves and manages technical and tactical QC Lab problems. Establishes key operating practices for QC Lab area. Drives innovation within the QC Lab. Customer Focus - Develops and implements functional area initiatives to delivery customer value at lowest cost. Develops and leads corrective actions associating with committing lots for Product Release. Interdependent Partnering - Mentors and facilitates successful team behavior within and across functional area and serves in a leadership role. Manages relationships externally and internally for functional area. Builds cross-functional and cross-departmental support. Fosters overall group effectiveness.
Organizational & People Development - Holds people accountable for measurable results. Provides coaching, useful feedback, and direction to direct reports/teams. Ensures and measure improvement for development of staff. Identifies high potential candidates. Fosters harmony within functional and other areas. Promotes the business value of diverse perspectives. Influences and persuades to bring about process and technical improvements. Address succession planning activities related to key positions in the QC Lab.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes record of inspection results, acceptance, rejection and disposition for entry into logbooks or computer databases.
- Measures the parameters of the product, interpreting and ensuring conformance to the specification limits.
- Performs package inspection for quality specifications.
- Performs audits of process and finished goods.
- Communicates all deviations.
- Performs all work with adherence to safety procedures.
- Performs routine quality audits of finished goods. (80%)
- Performs routine quality audits of in-process goods. (10%)
- Maintains qualification status for assigned test methods (5%)
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management. (5%)
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven superior attention to detail
- Verified history of following policies and procedures
- Volume or unit measure of job duties: (List the volume of those duties, which are repetitive in nature. For example, 75 customer phone calls per day, 20 boxes packed per day, etc.)
- 25 audits per shift
- Personal Computer, Printer, Telephone, Copier, Microsoft Office products, LIMS Software.
- Panametrics, Lensmeter, Comparator, PIT, CT gauge, CLOVER system other (new) inspection devices as required
- Clarity of vision at 20” or less. Stooping, Crouching, Walking, Pulling, Light Lifting (Up to 25 lbs.), Grasping, Hearing, Visual Acuity, Kneeling, Reaching, Pushing, Talking, Standing, Fingering, Crawling, Repetitive Motions, Inside Environmental Conditions.
- Other: Climbing, Balancing, Normal manufacturing clean room class 100,000 environment, opening cartons and blisters require pinching and pulling (repetitive motions)
