TRUSTS AND ESTATES/PROBATE PARALEGAL

Johnson Pope Bokor Ruppel & Burns, LLP is seeking a full-time, experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal with Probate administration experience. Candidates must have three (3) years of demonstrated experience as a Trusts and Estates Paralegal in a law firm.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Required:

Duties will include but are not limited to management of probate estate process and procedures; knowledge of trust and estate accountings and trust administration; assistance in preparing, retaining, and organizing legal documents, agreements, pleadings, and accountings related to trust and estate administration; and electronic filing. Guardianship administration experience is a plus.

Requirements:

• Problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
• Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude
• Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with an aptitude for learning other systems/programs
• Familiarity with using an electronic document management system. Experience in Filesite/ iManage is a plus
• Ability to file/record documents in official records
• Advanced Adobe Professional and Adobe Acrobat

Educational/Job Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma from an accredited institution
• Paralegal Degree/Certificate
• A minimum of 3 years of trusts and estates experience
• Availability for overtime as needed
