Pack/Sanitation

3rd Shift

Pay Range: $24.72/hr to $25.02/hr $2.00/hr Shift Premium

Hours:10:00pm – 6:30am (Overtime as production demands)

Responsibilities

• Learn both the Sanitation technology as well as learning Packaging and food safety processes
• Work together with other Packaging Members to obtain World Class blending results in safety, yields, usages, and efficiencies
• Develop best practices for the sanitation of the Packaging lines
• Participate in daily Grill meetings and project teams
• Consistently manufacture “great tasting” sausage products according to specifications
• Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support the Johnsonville Way
• Grow, develop, and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to JVL.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Ensure quality product while working on the production line.
• Maintain all production documentation paperwork accurately.
• Prepare Packaging and Boxing equipment for cleaning by locking out Machinery and covering electrical equipment with plastic as needed.
• Remove belting and disassemble equipment as needed.
• Use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• Use CIP on flash equipment.
• Use rinsing, foaming, scrubbing, and sanitizing procedures to ensure that all equipment in packaging and boxing areas meet Johnsonville’s and USDA’s standards of acceptability.
• Conduct environmental and bioluminescence swabbing.
• Wipe condensation
• Complete sanitation documentation paperwork accurately.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience preferred

Skills and Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong math background is required
• Must be able to complete production and sanitation documentation paperwork accurately
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to identify CCP’s (Critical Control Points) in the Packaging area and maintain all GMPs(Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Must be able to become certified in chemical usage
• Must be able to obtain a fork-lift and Will Lift license and learn the safe operation of electric pallet movers
• Must be able to conduct environmental swabbing for area
