Concierge Position:

Seeking polite and confident, customer service oriented and sales focused individual that is ready to transition their passion and knowledge of New Orleans into a career as a Concierge! Our concierges may book dinner reservations, transportation, tours and experiences and generally make the impossible, possible for all guests.

Concierges earn a commission, in addition to tips, and gratuity. The better you are at assisting guests and clients, the higher your earnings will be in the position of concierge.

Our concierges continually learn and experience new attractions and establishments throughout the city and surrounding areas of New Orleans in order to provide the best guidance and referrals, with first hand experience, for our guests. The goal is to contribute to an overall pleasant guest experience to increase our reputation and ensure sustainable growth.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

-Provide the guest with an experience that will always be remembered and with the highest level of responsiveness.

-Provide personal services of the highest level that may include (but are not limited to): restaurant reservations, recreation requests, transportation, tour bookings, and information on the hotel and surrounding area. Concierges may provide available maps, literature, and other approved materials.

-Project an approachable and professional image in personal experience, manner, and demeanor.

-Maintain a work environment of cleanliness and organization.

-Assure prompt and positive action of all guest complaints, questions, concerns and suggestions.

-Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, moving out from behind the concierge desk.

-Be knowledgeable of local current attractions, tours or events (concerts, theater, sporting events, special events and more.)

-Understand guests’ needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities available in New Orleans or provided by the hotel.

-Answer the phone courteously and assist guest with request.

-Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

-Work Joiefully in a fast-paced, team environment! Must be physically able to stand for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

-Proficiency in English

-Excellent communication skills

-Polite and confident with a great deal of patience

-Ability in multitasking and time-management

-Aptitude in resolving issues with a customer-focused orientation

-High school diploma; degree in hotel management or relevant field will be a plus

-Proven experience as a concierge; experience in customer service or relevant role is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
