What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Joint Regeneration?
A new non-surgical knee and joint clinic in Watkinsville is seeking a Nurse Practitioner. This position will be based in Watkinsville, GA with some travel required for training. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. We are proud to promote alternative medicine for patients with osteoarthritis knee and joint pain. We serve both insurance and self-pay patients and experience with both patient types is preferred.
Position is currently part-time to transition to a full-time role. Initially 2-3 days per week performing injections for the clinic, then transition to 4 day week.
Managing patients in a joint health clinic focusing on x-ray and fluoroscopic guided injections for predominantly osteoarthritic patients with knee and shoulder pain. Typically inject hyaluronic acid and platelet rich plasma. Provide direct patient care, documenting/charting patient information in line with current policies and procedures. Extensive training is provided for x-ray interpretation and use of the mini c-arm fluoroscopy.
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing the legal scope of medical practice.

Responsibilities:
- Performing initial and existing patient exams and screening evaluations.
- Assesses patient health by obtaining and reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations and evaluations.
- Document patient care services by dictating notes and charting diagnoses in patient records.
- Performing therapeutic procedures by administering viscosupplementation injections and fitting knee braces.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Deliver timely, efficient, and professional care to the patients
- Utilize our EMR system EclinicalWorks to input patient data to ensure accuracy of patient information, records, and billing
Qualification, Experience, and Skills
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- A Georgia NP license is required
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion towards patients with pleasant interactions.
- Comfort working with or learning our electronic medical reports software.
- Must have no restrictions to work in the state of Georgia
- Current/active Georgia NP licensure
- Active NPI and CAQH
- Orthopedic experience preferred
