Social Security Disability Attorney

Jones Networking is recruiting for an experienced Social Security Disability Attorney to join a Personal Injury Law Firm in Charlotte, NC. Our client offers a competitive salary, health benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k match, PTO and more.
Responsibilities of the Social Security Disability Attorney:
- Review all new cases and intakes to make the final decision as to which cases are accepted.
- Supervise Social Security Department team members.
- Ensure initial calls are made within designated time limit, ongoing client contact is made per guidelines, appeals, requests for hearings, five-day letters, etc. are filed in a timely manner.
- Represent clients through all stages of the federal disability process, with primary focus on representing clients at SSD Hearings.
- Prepare on the record requests, pre-hearing briefs, and appellate briefs when necessary.
- Determine which hearing denials to appeal to the Appeals Council.
- Contact the client to discuss hearing decisions and appeal options, as necessary.
- Handle all client complaint calls, review customer service surveys, and field general question calls.
- Ensure all appeal deadlines are met.
- Confirm all relevant medical records have been requested; review and approve records
- Follow up on outstanding fees; collect and provide fees to accounting for deposit
- Supervise department on file development from opening to closing a file to ensure all files are fully developed and ready for hearings
- Compile monthly reports to track fees received, files opened, hearings held, decisions received
Requirements of the Social Security Disability Attorney:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
- Must be currently licensed North Carolina attorney
- 5 years of experience in social security law
- Must have passion for client service and building a world-class operation
- Ability to build strong relationships, manage multiple priorities and lead others
- Supervisory experience highly preferred
- Experience using CRM software preferred

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
