Job Summary:
We are looking for one (1) Human Resource Director who will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource department to support our multi-stie organization while ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. We are looking for a HR professional with a tactical and strategic mindset to support our human capital while improving productivity, profits, and culture.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance reviews.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for all HR staff.
Duties and Expectations:
- Administers and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development that are driven by measurable metrics.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to encourage positive and forward-thinking engagement.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Identifies and supports staffing and recruiting needs while developing and executing best practices for talent management and retention.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Lead & monitor Career Pathing initiative to help employees develop and progress within the organization.
- Collaborates with organizational leadership to evaluate and develop training and developmental opportunities where gaps exist.
- Analyze compensation programs and develop appropriate pay scales for each role/department while considering regional pay adjustments.
- Create reports, as needed, for senior leadership; provide analysis regarding compensation, benefits, turnover, etc. and provide recommendations regarding said analysis.
- Collaborate in negotiation of corporate benefit plans and participate in the annual review of traditional and non-traditional benefits.
- Support and guide our senior leadership and departmental leaders on performance evaluation processes.
- Develops and implements departmental budget.
- Perform additional related duties as requested or required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 8 - 10 years HR experience, including 5 years direct leadership.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Knowledge of employment-related state and federal requirements required.
