Agile Product Owner

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for an experienced Agile Product Owner to join our team. The Product Owner should have some experience working within Agile development frameworks, including Scrum. This individual will be able to quickly come up to speed on project-specific processes and ceremonies, be a self-starter, a team player, and a quick study on the project-specific features and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders from different organizations to understand their needs
• Translate stakeholder needs to development Epics and Features (increments of work)
• Identify Planning Increment (PI) Objectives
• Maintain and prioritize the Product Backlog
• Test work items when they reach the corresponding status
• Support feature and validation testing across multiple domains
• Provide capability demonstrations to the user community and stakeholders
  
  

Requirements

• United States Citizenship
• Experience working within Scrum/Agile Development Methodologies
• Experience with Agile planning tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.)
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  
  

Preferred Skills & Experience:  

• Having served as a PO, experience participating in Product Backlog and Refinement meetings, retrospectives, etc.
  
  

Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is preferred, but not required

Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $125,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
