What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Payer Partnership position at Joon Care?

About Joon

Joon is a startup (we just raised a Series A) providing world class mental health support and outcomes, focused on serving the unique and growing needs of 13-24 year old teens and young adults.

In the decade leading up to the pandemic, nearly all indicators of poor mental health and suicidal thoughts and behaviors dramatically increased for this population.

  • Feelings of persistent sadness and hopelessness, as well as suicidal thoughts and behaviors, increased by about 40% among young people across every racial and ethnic group.
  • Almost 3 in 5 girls experienced persistent sadness or hopelessness in the past year. And more than 1 in 4 seriously considered attempting suicide.
  • Over half of LGBTQIA youth experienced poor mental health during the past month. Nearly 25% attempted suicide in the past year.

‍Fortunately, there is an extensive body of research on how to help developing minds learn to manage stress, regulate emotions, cope with anxiety and depression, and be more resilient. And, because most lifetime mental health conditions emerge between ages 13 and 24, this is the best time to teach these life-long mental health skills.

Our incredible team of experts in technology and psychology have made an amazing, outcome-driven care environment accessible to this age group in an app-native experience that just works.

  • Market Analysis & Industry Insight: Stay ahead of market conditions, industry best practices, and client needs to inform strategic decision-making and drive operational excellence.

Of course, the existing team will support you in many of these areas.
