What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Supervisor position at Jorgensen Farms?
Summary:
Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming with special events. Serving clients and guests at Jorgensen Farms’ unique event venues is the most important part of the experience we provide. The Event Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all event details as planned by the Event Coordinator and Catering Manager for Jorgensen clients and providing exceptional service every step of the way.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule event meeting with Event Coordinator and Catering Manager to review event details
- Collaborate with Event Managers, Event Coordinators, and other departments to ensure event success
- Create staff notes that outline event timeline and details as well as staff assignments
- Create plated meal serve orders when applicable
- Create equipment packing lists for events held at our Historic Barn venue
- Pack and load catering van as needed for events held at our Historic Barn venue
- Act as the first point of contact for all Jorgensen servers and bartenders on the day of the event
- Ensure that all details are properly communicated to the catering and front of house team to meet the client’s expectations
- Facilitate expediting of meal service for all assigned catered events
- Work with bartenders to check-in and inventory alcohol and mixers
- Review any specialty cocktail recipes with bartenders and line check to maintain accuracy
- Supervise catering staff on the day of the event and respond to any escalations or issues that arise
- Ensure catering staff is following all workplace safety and uniform standards
- Facilitate on the job staff training and employee development and lead by example at all times
- Serve as main client, vendor, staff, and Event Assistant contact once the Event Coordinator and Catering Manager have left
- Assist client with any end of event duties such as transporting gifts, packing up leftover food or alcohol
- Completing a thorough closing checklist including details such as leftover quantities, alcohol leftover quantities, bridal items, vendor items, etc.
- Ensuring the facility is properly maintained and cleaned at the closure of the event per venue closing list
- Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for all staff and guests
- Other duties as needed

Experience & Education:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant catering/restaurant or event experience
- Experience supervising events and leading a team
- ServSafe Certification preferred
