Job Title: Financial Accountant
Responsibilities: The Financial Accountant will complete accounting, reporting, and billing activities to support the Jostens Billing and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Communication with sales representatives, customer service, and schools to complete billing, collections, and customer refund processes.
- Enter, verify, and research customer and billing information in financial systems.
- Prepare customer invoices, statements, and refunds.
Collections/AR Duties:
- Review customer account status and AR aging reports regularly
- Contact past-due accounts and make arrangements for payments.
- Document customer communications in the call-tracking database
- Work with Corporate and BU personnel to place customer accounts on hold due to lack of timely payments.
- Answer calls and e-mails and process customer requests
- Process AR adjustments and other transactions relating to account maintenance in Oracle and various systems.
- Credit Card refunds, adjustments, and reconciliations: Process credit card refunds to customers, make corresponding entries in Oracle to customer deposit records, and reconcile cash-related transactions between systems.
Other Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to schools, sales, and other company personnel.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
- Five years or more of related experience required in accounting activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
