Location: Clarksville, TN
Shift: D shift (12 hrs Crewing 7pm-7am)
Jostens is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with excellent leadership skills and ability to develop and manage a team in our Folding department! Come join our talented team!
Our Folding Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating assigned departmental operations within the plant, which include Folding, Digital Folding and Cutting areas. Responsibilities include meeting plant objectives for quality, quantity, cost and delivery. The supervisor controls the area’s schedule, quality control, allocation of materials and equipment. He/she is responsible for supporting the safety program for the area, and is responsible for the training of employees in Safety procedures to include emergency spill response procedures, if appropriate. This Supervisor sets the area production and performance goals, organizes work, and maintains a productive and motivational climate.
Incumbents could be asked to work and assist in different department areas across the Plant, to provide support, learn and train as needed.
They support and partner with continuous improvement engineers to drive process improvement and safety goals to full maximization.
Qualifications:
- BA degree in Business, Manufacturing, and/or related field, or valid equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in Production operations & supervision a must.
- Valid Supervisor experience managing a team & department.
- Has demonstrated the ability to lead, train and develop people in a production environment as a supervisor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite, in particular Excel Spreadsheets.
- Has served as an effective role model, either internally or externally.
- Cross-functional communication experience.
- Strong Safety background and experience developing and executing safety plans.
- Must be able to work Night Shift (Thu-Sat & every other Wed 7pm-7am)
Preferred:
- Experience in “made to order” business/manufacturing.
- Folding Printing experience (Yearbook and/or Commercial).
- Basic knowledge of 5S methodologies and Lean Manufacturing.
- Exposure and knowledge of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
