Works directly with the Medical Team (Nurse Practitioner) in performing medical task as assigned.
2. Works directly with Admissions and Medical Staff in assessing Medical History.
3. Assist the Nurse Practitioner in maintenance of all medication records
4. Records patient information such as vital signs, weight changes as assigned
5. Must keep current CPR and First Aid certification.
6. Update and maintain all medication records
7. Observe clients taking of medication during assigned shift, and document accordingly.
8. Inventory medication on a regular basis, check for medication refills and report clients names and medications for refill to Nurse Practitioner.
9. Update all medication forms for changed and new medications on a daily basis
10. File progress forms daily in client record
11. Complete Progress Reports for Medical Director; submit to Nurse Practitioner prior to Medical Director Visit for review.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer experience in a healthcare setting. Bachelors in Science or a Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Excellent Communication skills, ability to work as a team player, professionalism and strong documentation skills required.
