Position Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) Driver

Overview of Job Summary:

This role will act as an essential driver that ensures all members of Journey Transportation are safely transported to their destinations in a timely manner with excellent service.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain a high level of professional service, including a high-level of patience while being courteous, communicating clearly, and having a presentable appearance.
• Perform daily trips that are in safe and timely manner.
• Assist members into transport vehicles that may need door to door assistance in wheelchair, stretcher, or other transportation devices.
• Complete all paperwork or digital inputs needed before, during, and after each transport.
• Complete a daily inspection of assigned vehicle before and after each shift.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary vehicle throughout the duration of each shift.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with dispatch frequently throughout shift.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• High school diploma or G.E.D., (certifications or college a plus).
• Driver’s license required (class F or equivalent) with no suspension or revocation within the last three years.

Physical Demands:

• This job is versatile. Must be able to stand, walk, and sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, etc. Must also be able to operate a vehicle for long periods of time.
• Constantly move about the local city, may perform long distance trips.
• Manual dexterity to constantly operate a cellular device and other wireless devices.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Constant job tasks require the ability to use normal vision.
• Auditory ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
• Constant communication to exchange accurate information.
