Accounting Associate

Job Purpose:

 

To prepare, review and maintain various financial documents and reports. Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide support to all accounting areas including general ledger, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.  

 

Essential Job Functions:

·         Prepare standard and adjusting journal entries to support monthly close

·         Prepare month-end general ledger reconciliations

·         Analyze general ledger account balances

·         Assist with daily treasury functions

·         Act as back up for other accounting areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. Experience working with ADP a plus

·         Working knowledge of US GAAP to ensure proper accounting controls and processes are in place

·         Assist Human Resources as needed with various tasks such as onboarding and open enrollment

·         Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement thinking in a team environment to help drive greater efficiencies

·         Assist with annual budget process and financial audit

·         Work on special projects as required

·         Maintain a current procedure manual for this position

·         All other duties as assigned

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required. Work experience must include a minimum of 2 years in an accounting role. Candidate must be a dependable, team-oriented, self-motivated professional with excellent computer, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills. QuickBooks Enterprise experience required. Payroll processing experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary Range: $55, 000 to $65,000 per year, non-exempt
