Job Description
Ready mix operation out of Orange County CA is looking for a Sales Representative to help expand its business and increase sales.
This position is expected to get new customers, solicit commercial and civil projects, maintain and grow existing client relations. Additionally the sales representative will visit and evaluate job sites and meet with superintendents of projects to build client relations. The right candidate will use their previous experience to meet sales goals using different methods. Methods include using construction project websites to gain leads, cold calling subcontractors, driving to new constructions sites.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sales role with a ready mix supplier or similar industry.
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Possess computer application skills to navigate internet and construction project sites to build leads and create quotation documents, send mix design submittals.
- Ability to effectively communicate with new prospective clients.
- Driven and results oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Assist customers and Quality Control to provide required mix design submittals
- Proactively maintain open communication regarding customer requirements and expectations to appropriate plant, dispatch, quality and management personnel
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls
- Provide timely reports, i.e., monthly activity reports and expense reports, etc.
- Assist credit department with collections
- Share expertise and experience with other sales team members
Compensation is based on experience.
