As an Associate within the Treasury Analytics team you will be responsible for the measurement and analysis of JPM’s interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital positions with a key focus on retail loans. Your work will directly influence the Firm’s asset-liability management strategy and drive best practices and profitability across the Consumer and Community Bank (CCB). This is a fast-paced role with exposure to senior business leaders. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, able to operate independently, and willing to address ambiguous problems.
Job responsibilities
- Preparing BAU reports for consumption by senior management and business partners
- Creating high quality, well-structured written presentation materials for senior audiences; clearly communicating the team’s work to senior and junior colleagues
- Building relationships and influencing stakeholders to achieve the team’s goals; owning and driving end-to-end work streams
- Designing and executing financial analyses to guide business decisions; preparing data; ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and results
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- self-motivated, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a passion and intellectual curiosity for finding and capturing business value
- 2 years of full-time work experience in finance, investment banking, or strategy
- Demonstrated ability to pick up complex concepts quickly, address ambiguous problems with quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
- Quantitatively focused undergraduate or graduate degree (e.g., finance, economics, mathematics, engineering) or other demonstrated quantitative and analytical ability
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase, Dodeca, Tableau
This role is not a remote position and does not have a relocation allowance tied to it, so all candidates must be local to New York, NY or willing to relocate on their own immediately upon hiring.
Candidates must be able to physically work in our NYC (Park Avenue) office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific hybrid schedule will be determined by direct management.
