DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications. Resolve nuances and determines appropriate escalation path. Execute conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems. Drive the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications. Partner with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses. Consider upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications. Make significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: EAI-webMethods; working on webMethods Integration Server, Developer, Designer, Broker, Deployer, and My webMethods Server (MWS); working with webMethods adapters including JDBC and MQ; Software Configuration Management; Java; J2EE; Shell Scripting; WebSphere MQ.
Job Location: 600 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
