Senior Automation Engineer - Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Banking & Wealth Management Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
• Writing automation test script for integration and end to end level for each module using, Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber
• Writing automation script, and reviewing them for Web-Services Testing ie SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework
• Gathers, analyzes, prepare end to end testing requirements for the products involving multiple applications & systems.
• Prepare test plan and test strategies and setup tollgate to review and finalize the approach.
• Works closely with product team to prepare test data requirements, document and proactively work with different teams to setup the data.
• Executes end to end tests, reviews results and publish reports to stakeholders and product management.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in the automation pipeline that drives improvements for software deployment
• Experience with Service virtualization, Data virtualization and  innovate solutions that enable the scrum teams across products to achieve end to end Testing 
• Highly experienced to coordinate and orchestrate end to end testing needs involving large numbers of teams across different Line of Business.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

• Familiar with tools such as PACT and Spring Cloud Contract for API testing
• Familiar with designing/building infrastructure/tools for managing/storing Test data
