Job Summary
As a Senior Product Designer in the Digital Channels Core Experience team, you will engage in the range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. You will be a part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Experience Researchers and Content Designers. You will also participate in cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers. We expect you to have strengths in the core interaction and visual design, along with a desire to continually broaden and improve your skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Create engaging interactions within our post-login experiences, that engage customers to deepen their relationship with us over time.
- Collaborate with User Experience Researchers, Data Analysts and Lead Designers, participate in upfront user research and experimentation to better understand user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze customer journeys and create experiences with the least amount of friction.
- Partner with lines of business to create systems and frameworks that help meet business goals, while optimizing customer value across platforms and products
- Collaborate directly with engineering peers, advocating for the user’s perspective when working cross-functionally.
- Explore, ideate and prototype a range of design solutions, which result in elegant, and even unexpected, solutions that satisfy requirements.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to examine product performance and create effective experimentation approaches to better understand user behaviors and the success of each delivered solution.
- Diagram product interactions, including user flows and wireframes.
- Detailed design, built upon our Design System, that brings our solutions to life.
- Present work and articulate design decisions to Product Team leadership .
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
- Plans and structures their own work, executing quality work within expected time frames.
- Demonstrated experience with user-centered design approaches .
- Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and with software engineers.
- Demonstrates strong Interaction Design skills paired with proficiency in Visual/UI Design; Development in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping
- Intermediate communication and presentation skills, including articulating the rationale behind design decisions within the team .
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Developing understanding of Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
- Has shipped digital products or a launch-ready prototype.
- Understanding of basic technical context of their designs; familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Foundational understanding of business needs, and how design connects with it .
