Warehouse Team Lead


The Warehouse Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating all warehouse functions and activities daily. Under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for directing the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service, policies, and procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Make an impact!

  • Directly support the warehouse operations, which includes coordinating LTL-Trucks, Flatbeds, Receiving, Returns, grounders, freight cell area & projects.
  • Lead functions and activities within the warehouse, which includes providing efficient product storage and ensuring that inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation. Rotate product as appropriate.
  • Protect all equipment and inventoried products against damage and theft.
  • Assist in performing regular cycle counts - assuring inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct daily Audits of warehouse processes.
  • Direct the operations of the warehouse team for the purpose of achieving prescribed objectives.
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in leading.
  • Assist customers with problems that may occur and may require more in-depth research.
  • Assist other managers or employees on warehouse-related issues, as needed.
  • Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
  • Assist in the training of new employees, which includes effecting all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to, including all conditions in the safety policy.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in all warehouse departments.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and is in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • In the absence of the Warehouse Operations Manager, responsible for all activities within the Warehouse.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Positive Mindset. Energy. Drive.

  • High School, GED or equivalent diploma, required
  • Minimum three years of related experience.
  • Experience with SAP in an operation-distribution/manufacturing functionality, highly preferred.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to multitask and comprehend multiple instructions.
  • Exhibit good work habits and willingness to work extended hours to complete a job when required to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and direct others to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of a body of rules, regulations, policies, or operations requiring considerable training and experience to apply to a variety of standard situations.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment and demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Professionally and positively represent the warehouse or company, as required, in staff meetings, or company related events.
  • Able to troubleshoot problems quickly and thoroughly, make decisions under pressure, and maintain the ability to be tactful in all situations.
  • Must be able to understand the significance of proper storage procedures and comprehend the construction of pallet racks and shelves.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and be able to twist back and forth and to push and pull product of considerable weight.
  • Must be able to lead and maintain a teamwork environment.
  • Must be able to work all areas of the warehouse.
  • Must adhere to company policy of always wearing safety shoes while working in the warehouse and to all safety rules.
  • Must safely operate a forklift, pallet/hand truck/crane and electric cart.
  • Must be able to accurately operate calculator, scanner, and other related warehouse equipment.
  • Must be able to interact respectfully with all personnel of the Company, the public and other persons in the areas of freight carrier personnel, customers, truck drivers, and outside agencies.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 85 pounds with lift to assist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Working extended and flexible hours may be requested occasionally.
