Position Summary

The Employee Development Manager will develop and maintain the learning and development, performance management and succession planning programs to apply new and evolving methods to assist the business with the ongoing development of their team members. The focus of the role is to identify and bridge skill gaps among employees, ensure that organizational goals are met, help improve workplace culture, and increase employee engagement and retention rates.

Essential Accountabilities

  • To work safely in a complex industrial environment with high heat, pressure, and moving equipment
  • Interact productively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization; production team members, peers, engineering, quality, sales, administration, and senior leadership

  • Establish strong partnerships with the business to gain a strong understanding of current business issues and opportunities, as related to training, performance management and succession planning.
  • Help the Company meet its objectives by developing & implementing high-impact learning & development programs in line with business needs and priorities.
  • Conduct organizational needs analysis and create training plans to ensure that all employees have the required competencies to excel in their roles.
  • Review and revise course materials to ensure they align with operating processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Help managers develop their team members through career pathing and continued development.
  • Responsible for executing strategies, processes and approaches related to integrated performance management.
  • Define and lead projects focused on continuous improvement and best industry practices to boost performance.
  • Create and oversee the implementation of the procedures that support and enhance employee performance as per the company’s objectives
  • Assist in the creation of organizational objectives and regularly review and assess ongoing performance management processes to evaluate whether they support employee performance and contribute to JSW’s overarching business goals.
  • Gather and assess business intelligence and the necessary data to assess employee performance and identify individual and departmental workplace issues and development barriers.
  • Provide HR Managers with insightful training practices to reach the established performance target goals.
  • Explain to employees the methodology of current or upcoming performance practices thoroughly and professionally and follow up with them to ensure organization-wide understanding.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, training and development, organizational development/ and/or behavior, organizational psychology or a related field is preferred.
  • Over four (4) years of progressively responsible human resources experience with emphasis on training and development, organizational development and performance management.
  • You have strong project management skills, capable of coordinating multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
  • Plan, design, implement, and conduct training for a diverse level of management and employees
  • You are proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and performance management platforms, UKG knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • You have a data-driven mindset, using analytics and metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • You are adaptable and innovative, able to continuously update and evolve strategies to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  • You possess exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Strong understanding of staff relations and retention.
  • Communicate at a high level verbally and in writing, including capacity to communicate complex ideas compellingly to a variety of audiences.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
