About YOU
As a JSX Paralegal, you will support our legal department by assisting with a broad scope of legal work, including litigation, corporate transactions, employment, real estate, government affairs and regulatory work. You will also organize and maintain legal files, assist with document preservation, collection, and production, prepare written correspondence, and assist in drafting legal documents, including subpoena responses, briefs, contracts, corporate filings, and other legal documents. You will assist with case management and trial preparation, including compiling evidence, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witnesses, and will conduct research on case law, statutes, regulations, and other legal resources. You will also perform some administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars, professionally representing the company through verbal and written communications. - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field (essential requirement)
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program (essential requirement)
- 5 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department (essential requirement)
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation (essential requirement)
- Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) (essential requirement)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software (essential requirement)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously (essential requirement)
