Mobile Therapist
Qualifications:
A Mobile Therapist’s for individual services must meet one of the following:
1. Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker.
2. Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum.
3. Have a minimum of 1-year full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree with at least nine (9) credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling.
4. Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with at least nine (9) credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field.
5. This position requires the successful candidate to live in or near Lock Haven, Pa or relocate to the Lock Haven, Pa area.

Job Goal:
The Mobile Therapist (MT) provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults to build upon and develop adaptive skills to help with addressing potential challenges in the individual’s life. MTs provide services through various means that include individual therapy, family therapy, development and revision of the individual therapy plan, and assistance with crisis stabilization. MTs collaborate with clients, families, and members of the support team in the provision of services.
Key Responsibilities:
General Job Tasks
- Provide clinical mobile therapist delivery as written in the program description and maintain appropriate certification and licensure to ensure compliance.
- Conduct individualized assessments that evaluate individual/family strengths, needs, and other clinical information to determine therapeutic need and the direction of treatment.
- Write and implement individual treatment plans (ITPs) in accordance with team needs.
- Provide mobile therapist services using evidence-based practices, psychotherapy, and family therapy to meet the needs of the individual and their family in their homes, schools, and/or communities.
- Consult with the individual, their family, and other team members to improve upon adaptive skills and to improve dynamics between family members.
- Collaborate with other professionals that are a part of the individual’s treatment team.
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation of clinical service delivery.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Clearances
- Candidates who apply for IBHS Services and any staff member within the organization who may come in contact with children, youth or young adults, must provide a PA State Police Background Check, FBI Fingerprinting, and Childline Child Abuse History Clearances.
- These clearances must be a maximum of five years old. Candidates who have documented records on any background checks may not be eligible to be hired.
- These clearances must be completed prior to the selected candidate’s first day of work. The candidate must provide documentation that clearances have been requested and/or set up for completion.
