Summary/Purpose:
Plans and coordinates the Production Control activities for a designated manufacturing area.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Preparation of the Master Production Schedule.
Coordination of the Monthly Production Plans.
Customer demand analysis
Capacity analysis of production resources
Supplier component ordering and forecasting
Control of Phase In / Out activities in an accurate and timely manner.
Work with Customer Service Specialist for returnable reconciliation when necessary
Control of returnable packaging programs
Registration of new bearings
Bill of Material registration and maintenance
Sample scheduling and coordination
Coordination of new packaging programs for new or existing business
Schedule performance analysis
Coordination of improvement plans.
Participate on PPCP teams as required
Work closely with the Customer Service specialist and Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer requirements are met
Establish and maintain recovery plans
Coordinate Packing Instructions with the Production Control Planners
Coordinate control of WIP levels with the Production Control Planners
Coordinate maintenance of the Kanban system with the Production Control Planners
Responsible to fill in for the Production Control Supervisor in his / her absence
Maintain 5S
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in business from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or Associate’s degree in science or engineering from two/four-year college or university, and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or High School Diploma or GED, and seven to ten years of related experience and/or training; or ten to twelve years of related experience and/or training.

Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 10-20% of time.
