Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Material Handler at JTM FOODS, LLC, you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials to support our manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing storage areas, and facilitating the movement of materials to meet production schedules. If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Unload, unpack, and inspect materials for damage or defects.
- Safely transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse/storage areas to facilitate efficient material handling.
- Prepare materials for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging orders for delivery.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Assist in the coordination of material transfers between departments or locations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a material handler or in a similar role preferred.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
