Job Description
Position Title: Campus Operations Manager
Position Type: Salaried ($45,088 annual) / Exempt
Position Hours: Full-time; Monday – Friday; 40 Hours per Week (extended workdays; frequent evenings and weekends)
Length of Term/Employment: At-will / 220 days
Reports to: Campus Principal & District Maintenance Supervisor
Position Mission: Develop and implement the day-to-day operations of Jubilee Academies’ campuses to make the campus more productive in the following business operations: Maintenance, Custodial, Food Service, Transportation, Pest Control, Grounds Keeping and Security Department, Landscape, Field Maintenance.
Position Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
- Three years of supervisory experience in maintenance operations.
Job Duties:
- Create a work environment that promotes positive energy, creativity and teamwork among contractors, employees and departments.
- Ensure departments run smoothly by instituting rules and procedures for employees and contractor to follow.
- Responsible for organizing, supervising, and controlling all activities within the Jubilee Academies campus.
- Supervise and evaluate both contract and employee job performance.
Budget and Inventory:
- Administer maintenance budget and ensure that programs are cost effective and funds are managed prudently.
- Initiate purchase orders in accordance with budgetary limitations and district policies.
- Replace and maintain a current inventory of supplies and parts to avoid delay when reordering.
- Approve and forward invoices and purchase orders for maintenance department to accounting department.
- Recommend disposal of obsolete equipment and purchase replacement equipment when necessary.
Personnel Management:
- Assign work to maintenance, custodial, security, food service personnel and oversee completion.
- Evaluate job performance of employees to ensure effectiveness.
- Recruit, train and supervise personnel and make sound recommendations about personnel placement, transfer, retention, and dismissal.
HVAC Maintenance:
- Schedule and replace a/c filters on all units on rooftops and throughout the facility.
- Clean coils and maintain units in working order.
- Timely report to the District Maintenance Supervisor all instances of mechanical failure.
- Maintain facility a/c at the district-designated temperature.
Roof Maintenance:
- Perform annual roof inspection and maintain roof throughout the year, keeping it free of water and debris.
- Report all roof leaks immediately to the District Maintenance Supervisor.
Security:
- Schedule traffic officers for before and after school drop off.
- Schedule day time security services as needed.
Food Service:
- Maintain safe guards in the food service department to monitor compliance with: time clock policy, asset control, and other policies that promote effectiveness.
Field Maintenance:
- Develop a program to ensure fields are multi-use ready and maintained according to schedule.
Outdoor Maintenance:
- Ensure playground and landscape are maintained according to guidelines.
Wood Gym Floor Maintenance:
- Collaborate with contractor to ensure the facility’s wooden gym floor is maintained at a high level.
Safety:
- Maintain safety standards in conformance with federal, state, and insurance regulations and develop a program of preventive safety.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in operating and optimum condition.
Pest Management:
- Develop a pest program to ensure facility is free of pests.
- Timely report to the District Maintenance Supervisor all instances of pest invasion.
Transportation:
- Develop a maintenance program to maintain vehicles and buses assigned to campus.
Other:
- Perform disaster duty when needed.
- Attend professional growth activities to keep abreast of innovative techniques in maintenance operations.
- Respond to after hour’s emergencies as needed.
- Support after school activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate performance of support staff and contractors assigned to campus.
Charter & Community Responsibilities:
- Convey the charter’s mission to the public and encourage support in accomplishing the mission.
- Illustrate understanding of Charter and community needs and begin activities to meet those needs.
- Demonstrate use of productive and efficient skills to raise community and parent involvement.
- Actively participate in student recruitment efforts.

- Work indoors and outdoors to conduct on-site inspections of all maintenance facilities and construction projects.
