Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Manage and supervise a team of grocery store employees, providing guidance and support
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and meet revenue targets
- Monitor inventory levels and order products to maintain adequate stock
- Ensure proper pricing, labeling, and placement of products on shelves
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
- Train new employees on store policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate activities and achieve overall store objectives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a grocery management or supervisory role
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette
- Proficient in math calculations for inventory management and financial analysis
- Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the grocery industry
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with stock management systems and procedures
