Judah's Camp Music School is looking for a Music Teacher for our Waterbury, CT school.
As a Music Teacher, you will work with both children in grades K-12 and Adults. You will teach them music, instrumental and vocal techniques, as well as provide them with songs to play. Your responsibilities include preparing the students for their lessons and ensuring they have all the materials they need to be successful.
You must have previous experience working with children. You must have previous experience working in a music school setting. You must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to move around the classroom without assistance.
Responsibilities
Teach students various pieces of music, instrumental techniques, and vocal techniques
- Provide individualized instruction to each student ensuring each student is mastering skills individually and is making progress toward achieving their goals
- Organize classes according to the curriculum set by the school
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
- Ensure that all lessons are followed through with on day before school starts
- Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress, needs, and interests
- Maintain an accurate record of each student’s performance records (i.e., scores)
- Attend professional development sessions and team meetings
