Description:
Position Overview:
- Provide support to engineering, operations, and production teams for project oversight and facility operations.
- Focus on electrical systems, power (medium to low voltage), controls, control systems, and instrumentation design and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with engineering project management from concept to completion.
- Develop and maintain standard electrical, controls, and instrumentation specifications.
- Collaborate with fellow project managers on electrical, controls, and instrumentation aspects.
- Generate initial electrical designs based on project requirements.
- Evaluate adequacy of existing electrical infrastructure for planned projects.
- Propose solutions if current infrastructure cannot support projects.
- Contribute to conceptual cost estimates for project evaluations.
- Coordinate with external engineering firms/contractors for design development.
- Review electrical submissions and drawings for compliance.
- Coordinate instrumentation needs with provided process equipment.
- Create drawings including arrangements, flow diagrams, and site plans.
- Build comprehensive bid packages with supporting documentation.
- Monitor on-site project construction alongside ongoing plant operations.
- Provide on-site assistance for project commissioning and startup.
- Ensure accurate as-built documentation reflects final conditions.
- Conduct field investigations of existing facilities and document as-built conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Engineering discipline required.
- Relevant experience in electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in coordinating with external partners.
- Attention to detail and compliance with specifications.
- Ability to evaluate and propose solutions for infrastructure challenges.
- Familiarity with cost estimation and budgeting.
- Experience in construction coordination and commissioning.
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
