Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Contingent Resource)
Location: Glen Allen, VA
Job Description:
As a Senior Software Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will:
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
- Review and analyze multifaceted, large-scale, or long-term Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements.
- Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Unix scripting languages.
- Work in a hybrid model, with at least 3 days in the office and the remaining days remote.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience with large partitioned tables and query optimization.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, debugging, tuning, and maintaining large, complex queries, including analytic and aggregation clauses.
- Experience with PL/SQL, including Oracle Object types and Pipelined Table Functions.
- Familiarity with the Oracle privilege model and using PL/SQL procedures to enable specific privileged operations while restricting the privileges of application user accounts.
- Experience with partition operations/maintenance, including creating, merging, dropping, and exchanging partitions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience building and supporting large batch systems.
- Familiarity with DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE.
- Familiarity with partition-based procedural parallelism.
