Description:
Sparta M.I. (Direct Hire)
The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to:
•Following health, safety, environmental regulations, and safety protocols (safety harnesses, fork truck, scissor lift, boom lifts, LOTO)
•Building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among all team members
•Communicating across cross-functional groups
•Being responsible for projects from technical specification to startup support
•Designing and developing all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and programming using Lear standards and build upon with innovative ideas
•Writing, implementing, and debugging PLC software
•Providing support to existing Lear automated equipment globally
•Developing predictive maintenance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime – (CBM, Industry 4.0)
•Developing contingency and disaster recovery plans
Your Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering
•Three years' experience in a controls engineering role at an automation/machine build shop.
•Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others, and have a positive attitude
•Must be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy
•Expert in RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio
•Knowledgeable of I/O link, AB components, drive control, Keyence cameras
•Ability to read and create electrical drawings in AutoCAD
•Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
•Understand and communicate applicable safety standards: general industry, machine guarding, robot safety, automated vehicles, conveyor safety
•Self-driven and willingness to work long hours during installations, if required
•Willingness to travel globally – up to 30-35%
