Salary: $34.00 USD Hourly - $36.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Wafer Fabrication Tech
This position requires you to go onsite to Trenton, NJ fully onsite!
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Performs precision assemblies of IR Detector components under microscope with aid of hand tools
Manually positions components within .005” with aid of comparator or optical microscope
Performs ball bonding of chips and substrates
Executes welding of dewar bodies and performs leak checking of parts
Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule
Reports defective materials and/or questionable conditions to supervision
Maintains a log of material handled for tracing purposes
Keeps work area, equipment and materials clean, organized and properly identified
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
Min 5 years’ experience
Exceptional manual dexterity in handling fragile semiconductor wafers and small precision tools such as tweezer and probes.
Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: photolithography, etch, thin film deposition, metallization, lapping and polishing.
Hands-on experience in operating wafer-fab related equipment such as aligner, etcher, PECVD, etc.
Great attention to details; following standard instructions or procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
Manual dexterity in handling small precision tools such as tweezers, probes, hooks and micro-shears
Ability to coordinate measuring machines (optical comparator, Toolscope, Quadra Check)
Familiarity with ESD procedures
Ability to keep clear and accurate written records
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
Minimum HS diploma; Post HS education with technical background is a plus.
Reading and understanding drawings and written specifications
Use of epoxy adhesives
Manual ultrasonic wire bonding
Use of a microscope for extended periods of time
Assembly of dewar/cooler assemblies a plus
