About the Campaign:

We are seeking a Field Director for the re-election campaign of State Senator Julian Cyr, who represents Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket in the Massachusetts State Senate. Senator Cyr has a proven track record of leadership, dedication to community values, and a strong commitment to progressive principles. This campaign offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of Massachusetts politics, contributing to meaningful change and supporting democracy at the state and local level.

Job Description:

The Field Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive field strategy to mobilize voters and secure victory for our candidate, as well as coordinating efforts with other Democratic candidates to maximize Democratic wins across the board. This role demands a dynamic, creative, and highly organized individual with a deep commitment to Democratic values and an understanding (or desire to quickly gain an understanding) of the unique political landscape of Cape Cod. The position will be based in person on Cape Cod, mostly from Barnstable, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a strategic field plan, including voter identification, persuasion, and turnout operations.
• Plan and execute campaign events to engage voters, raise awareness, and drive campaign momentum.
• Manage voter contact efforts, including door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, etc
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers, fostering a culture of teamwork, inclusivity, and high performance.
• Coordinate closely with other Democratic campaigns to align strategies, share resources, and amplify campaign messages, maximizing the impact of Democratic campaigns across the region.
• Utilize data-driven strategies to track and analyze campaign performance, making data-informed decisions to optimize outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in political campaign field operations, preferred Applicants with a connection to the Cape and Islands, preferred
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
• Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced campaign environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in campaign technology and tools, such as VoteBuilder, and Google Workspace tools.
• Commitment to Democratic values and principles.

Compensation:

Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Position to start in appx. June 2024 and run through Election Day in November, 2024.
