What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upscale Dining Host/Hostess position at Juliet Restaurant?
Host/Host
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests during peak hours
- Manage waitlist and estimate wait times accurately
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Help maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests
Experience:
- Previous experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and ability to handle reservations efficiently
- Familiarity with food service procedures and restaurant operations
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
