Full Time Position: (1.0 FTE)
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Assessment & Accountability Coordinator, this position will optimize the Student Information System (SIS) and related components as well as provide district wide technical support, populate, and manage multiple data systems connected to the SIS, validate the data, and provide a full range of administrative support to the Teaching and Learning Support (TLS) Department.
Typical responsiblities include performing comprehensive data queries, technical SIS report development and office support for the TLS assessment department, with the development and maintneance of databases containing information relating to assessment materials and distributing materials; assisting with responding to data requests, infomation and preperation of responses for the Assesment Coordinator; and, providing a variety of administrative support tasks. Also, this position would perform assessment and report related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way to obtain these would be:
- High School diploma.
- Associates degree in a computer technology field preferred.
- Three years experience in data management preferred, but may be substituted for mid-level administrative support experience.
- Possession of a valid Alaska driver's license.
Knowledge of:
- Effective use of interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
- Database maintenance using modern software (i.e., FileMaker, Ivision).
- Creating graphic and other visual displays.
- Utilization of web design software to support TLS web pages (i.e., DreamWeaver).
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
- District organization, operations, policies and objectives.
- Successful record keeping techniques.
Ability to:
- Maintain a commitment to ensuring the integrity of data.
- Verify, merge and correct data files.
- Perform verification checks of custom layouts and functions with PowerSchool upgrades.
- Prepare and submit reports by compiling, validating, and organizing data from variety of sources.
- Utilize PowerSchool (PS) Web HTML customiziations for upgrades to future PS versions.
- Upload and download data files to and from a variety of data systems.
- Appropriately and effectively manage confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate competence in modern office applications (i.e., word processing, databases, email, FileMaker Pro (FMP), PowerSchool (PS) web authoring, spreadsheets, etc.).
- Operate a variety of modern office equipment including a personal computer and related software as well as complex technical software including statistical packages and databases.
- Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
- Successfully use interpersonal skills utilizing tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Work as part of a team with others.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other people.
Compensation: This is a full-time 12-month position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a starting salary of $29.61 per hour. We offer an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) plan, and paid time off.
Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant's expense and fingerprints forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a records check.
