Job Posting for Technical Director Teaching Artist at Junior Players Guild

Junior Players is seeking independent contractors to join our roster of teaching artists who currently reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We are seeking those with professional experience in the technical director industry, with a preference for those with teaching experience. The technical director teaching artist will teach at our Technical Theater Summer Camps and will teach the students the basics in lighting and sound design in preparation for a presentation event at the end of the camp. The students in the tech camp will aid in designing the sound and lights as well as working as the tech crew for the presentation event. The individual who fills this position should also be able to aid in the creation and development of the curriculum for this Technical Theater Summer Camp. Independent contractors will be responsible for teaching students about their respective art forms in a variety of settings (in school, after school, libraries, recreation centers, libraries, etc.) and will serve students anywhere from grades K – 12.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)
  • Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Dallas, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
