This exciting new position provides junior to mid-level technical field support for environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance projects and proposals primarily in the areas related to remediation, fieldwork, and data interpretation/presentation. Experience as a field operations lead and with new site characterization techniques is preferred. Capable of evaluating data to reach sound technical conclusions and present/document findings in project reports using text, figures, tables, and graphs. Develop and assume responsibility for the execution of basic to moderately complex tasks/projects. This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Your Role :
• Work as a member of teams conducting hands-on multi-media environmental sampling, including surface and subsurface soil, overburden and bedrock groundwater, sediment, surface water, ambient air, indoor air, etc.
• Monitor remediation work to ensure compliance with contract specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
• Record and compile data into coherent products for customer use, interpret and explain findings to project teams.
• Interpret data patterns and trends, compare to regulatory standards and assist in the development of recommendations for actions based on regulatory constraints.
• Prepare and assist preparation of written documents, sampling and analysis plans, data summary reports, and technical evaluations.
• Complete other duties as they may be assigned to support investigation and remediation projects.
Qualifications :
A bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a natural science (e.g., Biology, Geology, Earth Science, Geography, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science) is required. Advanced degree is a plus.
• A driver’s license current and valid for a state in the United States is required.
• A minimum of one year of work experience in the scientific, engineering, environmental consulting, contracting, or related industry is required. Preference to applicants with two to four years of related experience.
• Fundamental understanding of sampling environmental media, which may include groundwater, soil, sediment, air, or biological tissue is required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret and develop both written technical documents and tabular presentation of data is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook is required.
• Experience or coursework with database software such as Access, SQL Server or others is a plus.
• Existing certifications for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training specified in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1910.120 (e) is preferred.
