Job Description
Our client, a healthcare organization in Newtown Square, is looking to add an Associate Relations Manager to their growing team. The responsibilities of this role will include assisting in the resolution of associate matters, acting as a representative of the company during legal proceedings, and conducting internal investigations. The ideal candidate for this role has excellent communication skills, employment law knowledge, and prior experience in an Employee Relations role.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Act as a point of contact between counsel and HR regarding any employment related legal matters.
Assist internal and external counsel to resolve complex associate relations issues.
Assist external counsel on responses to EEOC complaints, including drafting position statements.
Represent the organization during unemployment hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
Conduct and document internal investigations.
Manage high-risk cases on a variety of topics including performance, attendance, conduct, and conflict resolution.
Act as a point of escalation for associate complaints.
Provide solutions to conflicts that best protect the organization as well as the associate.
Develop and work on special projects related to associate relations such as HR policy development and interpretation.
Act as a resource for Associate Relations Specialists, members of the Leave team, and HRBPs on HR policy and employment law.
Respond to NAVEX issues.
Act as an SME for training related to policies and employment law.
Track trends in associate relations and provide suggestions to solve concerns.
Participate in escalated meetings with associates and managers to resolve conflict.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Employee Relations role.
Previous experience working with counsel as well as senior leaders in an organization.
Human Resources certification preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
Travel may be required, up to 25%, depending on assigned locations.
Knowledge of employment law in assigned states. (will vary)
