The Jurgensen Companies is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to be a leader within our team. With over 75 years in the construction industry we are a perfect spot for a highly experienced superintendent, or an experienced foreman who is looking for their chance to finally move up.

Construction Superintendent Job Responsibilities:

• Run the day to day operations on the construction site.
• Maintain a safe work site and certify that all company safety protocols are followed.
• Represent the company with professionalism and lead the total construction effort in accordance with design, quality, and schedule. 
• Direct and Lead the onsite foreman & make onsite decisions.
• Clearly communicate the plan and direct the foreman & subcontractors.
• Develop the work schedule with the project manager & Maintain and lead discussion of a two week look ahead schedule.
• Communicate daily with Construction Operations Manager about schedule and any resource needs.
• Communicate with the Owner as needed in a professional like manner. 
• Review timesheets of foreman on site.
• Get to know and work with other company superintendents/foreman.
• Must poses a forward thinking drive to continually improve and have the willingness to learn.
  • Must promote this within the crews you directly manage.
• Work side by side with Project Manager. 
  • Scheduling.
  • Project administration & job cost.
  • Subcontractor scheduling.
  • Deliver 2 week look ahead schedule from foremen and administer weekly meeting.

Construction Superintendent Qualifications / Skills:

• 5 years experience managing construction projects.
• Understanding of  ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) specification book.
• Previous interactions / relationship with ODOT and KYTC.
• Proven record of leading and developing foremen and lead employees. 
• Visualize project life cycle prior to starting work.
• Strong respect for quality of work.
• Effective time management.
• Basic computer / tablet.
• Customer relations.
• Excellent communication skills.
