PART TIME ADOPTION PERMANENCY WORKER - ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA
JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking a dedicated Adoption Permanency Worker to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will work tirelessly to facilitate and support permanency planning and placement for children within the SWAN (Statewide Adoption Network) framework. You will collaborate with families, caseworkers, and a variety of stakeholders to ensure that every child under your care is guided towards a secure and enduring future. The qualified Adoption Permanency Worker will have:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field and a minimum of one (1) year direct care experience or supervised practice in lieu of the experience requirement.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
- Pass current, applicable clearances.
- Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
The qualified Adoption Permanency Worker will:
- Attend trainings on trauma, grieving and other trainings related to assisting a child in the adoption process.
- Meet with designated clients for the required number of contacts per SWAN guidelines/benchmarks.
- Attend all quarterly SWAN meetings as required of an affiliate agency.
