Knee Rx Operator

Position Summary

Supports the production activities of the company in the KneeRx area by inspecting material for defects, cutting material to size ordered, screen printing and packing mats for shipment.

Essential Job Function

• Uses production schedule to determine material to be cut.
• Operates/cycles CTW machine to cut rolls of material in half by measuring material width and initiating the cuts.
• Operates the punch press to engage die to stamp out material of proper shape, size, and width for product specifications.
• Utilizes pre-established parameters to mix appropriate levels of ink and reducing agent.
• Prints logo by pouring ink/reducing agent mixture onto screen printer and utilizing straight edge to ensure proper distribution of ink onto product surface.
• Packages material according to established specifications when required.
• Retains all scrap material to be weighed and recorded by placing in the appropriate area.
• Cleans and maintains good condition of screens and related equipment.
• Assists with CTW operations as needed.
• Continuously monitors the quality of the material to ensure that it meets quality standards.
• Assists in maintaining department in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Observes all safety and environmental procedures.
• Performs other duties as requested by supervision.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure to 1/16^th of an inch.
• Ability to operate foot pump lift table.
• Ability to competently operate personal computer terminal.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

This job uses utility knife, CTW machine, punch press, screen printer, tape measure, tape gun, tag gun, air stapler, calculator, and computer.
