At JUWI, we’re taking solar energy to the next level. With the goal to bring solar power online over the next several years, we seek an Accounts Payable Specialist to bring our vision to life.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that JUWI’s finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner. They will also be responsible for a variety of accounting and clerical tasks to support the Staff Accountant.

In this role, you’ll:

• Enter AP invoices, ensuring accuracy in amount, General Ledger code, payment terms, and proper internal approval
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs to issue ACHs, checks and wires
• Input purchase orders into accounting system
• Process company credit card activity monthly and post to General Ledger
• Respond to all vendor and internal inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
• Solicit and maintain current W-9 and payment information for all active vendors
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy
• Responsible for IRS 1099 compliance and reporting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Process inventory transactions in accounting system
• Assist with other projects as needed

What you’ll bring:

• 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures
• Accounting system experience (Dynamics GP preferred)
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Must have strong work ethic and high level of reliability
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication (oral and written) skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Annual Base Salary Range:

$25.00-$27.00 per hour

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on certain company and individual performance metrics.
